I joined the LotusUserGroup.org Mentor program08/14/2005 05:10 PM @Home
Some time ago I enlisted for the LotusUserGroup mentor program. I like
to share knowledge and experiences and thought this would be a good opportunity.
Now Libby (aka: Notesgirl)
has introduced me to my mentee, who is an Domino administrator for a 450
user Domino environment and I will try to share my experiences here on
this blog. (maybe I´ll introduce a different feed for the English blog
entries later).
After some getting acquainted my mentee sent me a copy of his Domino directory
for review. Out of that I´ve created this shortlist of things to work on:
e-mail: RFC822 addresses (done), enable Mime support, tighten security
on SMTP
security: Tighten security procedures, server security, application security
replication: try to reduce the amount of connection documents, while increasing
quality on replication
server config: reduce logging while at the same time make it easier to
spot potential problems
